It's a set of symptoms artificially defined as an aid in medical treatment. Same as many other psychological diagnoses, like BPD or depression.  That being said I'm starting to see a lot of autistic tendencies around me. I'm pretty sure we're seeing an increase here.   It can be a Yellow And Red Day Of The Dead Dia De Los Muertos Sugar Skull Baby Shirt hassle, and straight-up not worth it when there're some jerks in the seats..but I'll miss it if they never come back. On the best experiences, it's nostalgic, immersive, and memorable. Personally, I think there's something psychological to it. Experiencing a movie for the first time with other like-minded people, even though you aren't talking...it's not the same at home, both good and bad. Which basically means you like watching movies at home more.
