 The The Golden Girls In October We Wear Pink Shirt analogy I've found best is to think of a colour wheel - just like every NT is unique, we're all unique as well. We may be able to fit in amongst NTs better (which can make some people get confused over and over when we start heading to meltdown because we've just had TOO MUCH SOCIAL INTERACTION AND NEED A BREAK), but we may struggle in other ways. Or we may be able to be really creative and have insane photographic memories, like that guy that made a drawing of (Rome?) after a single flyover in a helicopter, but might struggle to even hold a conversation for more than a minute or two. This is correct. I have asperger's which is now a defunt term. I am now diagnosed with autism.

Work on a god damned cure, work on the stigma that comes along with it, get them the help they so desperately need. Yes it sucks being autistic, but I'm not noble or brave for dealing with something that I was born with, I'm unlucky and I've been dealt a bad hand by fate god, genetics or whatever you believe in. There's no autism and no autism imo, it's not like a pregnancy. It's a set of symptoms artificially defined as an aid in medical treatment. Same as many other psychological diagnoses, like BPD or depression.  That being said I'm starting to see a lot of autistic tendencies around me. I'm pretty sure we're seeing an increase here.
